  1. Short:    Upgrade to v1.6 of ADMaN from v1.5

  6. The great ADMaN upgrade!

  8. What you'll need to do is this:
  9.  
  10. Locate your version of ADMaN.
  11.  
  12. You'll need to determine whether it is the old or bugfix release of ADMaN
  13. 1.5. To find out, type "version ADMaN full".
  14.  
  15. If the date is (15/09/95) you have the bugfix release. Skip to "Updating
  16. the bugfix release".
  17.  
  18. Otherwise, you have the original release. Continue from "Updating the
  19. original release".

  21. Updating the original release
  22. -----------------------------

  24. Type "spatch -oADMaN_15bf -pADMaN_15.pch ADMaN"
  25.  
  26. You now have a copy of ADMaN 1.5bf under the filename "ADMaN_15bf"
  27.  
  28. Locate ADMaN.guide.
  29.  
  30. Type "spatch -oADMaN_15bf.guide -pADMaN_15.guide.pch ADMaN.guide"
  31.  
  32. You now have a copy of the ADMaN 1.5bf guide under the filename
  33. "ADMaN_15bf.guide"
  34.  
  35. You now have the bugfixed 1.5 release - you'll also need to patch
  36. this one. Continue at the next section.

  38. Updating the bugfix release
  39. ---------------------------
  40.  
  41. Type "spatch -pADMaN_15bf.pch ADMaN_15bf"
  42.  
  43. You now have a copy of ADMaN 1.6 under the filename "ADMaN.new"
  44.  
  45. Locate ADMaN.guide.
  46.  
  47. Type "spatch -oADMaN.guide.new -pADMaN_15bf.guide.pch ADMaN_15bf.guide"
  48.  
  49. You now have a copy of the ADMaN 1.6 guide under the filename "ADMaN.guide.new"
  50.  
  51. Copy the new ADMaN.history file over the top of the old one.
  52.  
  53. Rename the .new files (after you've tested them, of course).
  54.  
  55. That's it - ADMaN 1.6 should now be installed on your system.
